I desperately want to end an era. I want to close the door on something.   Perhaps I should finish my degree.

If everyone’s life is divided into chapters then certainly we should strive to move from one to another as clearly as possible.  Yet moving from one phase or task or quest or obligation to a distinctly different one is something we demand done on our own terms.

In fact: I always want to go out on my own terms.  The question then is what do my terms look like and what do I move on to next?

In a perfectly greedy fashion not only do I want to fulfill the cliche of going out on my own terms but I want to close on the door on something having used that something to alter the world in some fashion. That’s a greedy ambition given the lack of a specific vision.
