The ABC/MCU is an interesting facet of the television half of the whole contemporary Marvel live action bifurcation. It’s separate from the Marvel Studios stories to the extent that continuity is not canonical to the films, continuity doesn’t feed into any of Marvel Studios’ productions. Ultimately that frees up the television studio to do what they want. As it is the ABC/MCU portion includes one television series that is now in its sixth season, a television series that was canceled after two short seasons, effectively making it two miniseries, and a television series cancelled after its first season, making it a miniseries. There was another spin-off series planned but shot down before a pilot was shot; this occurred between the second and third ratings failures.

In order those programs would be Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel’s Agent Carter, Marvel’s Most Wanted, and Marvel’s Inhumans.

The other facets of the tv side of the contemporary Marvel live action works are streaming service exclusive series licensed to Netflix, Freeform and Hulu. Of those I have only seen the majority but not the entirety of the episodes of the Netflix series, and none from the other two.

There are at present twenty-two motion pictures and a smattering of Marvel One-Shots that were produced and distributed via the home video releases, on physical media such as Blu-Ray.

I don’t really care to indulge the overall notion of ‘what is canon?’

Since the S.H.I.E.L.D. television show has been a helluva lot of fun for several years and I don’t have time today to go through all of my thoughts on the series per season, we’ll just use this handy video I found on Youtube an hour ago.

Feel free to endure the snarky comments of the hostess but I found her mildly charming.

I technically should mirror this on Monitor Duty and someday I will bother doing so. As it is the log-in page is broken:
